It is fun to be around people who are passionate about something, because it is infectious, it is contagious and you can feel it. They move, they are a part of it and they live for it, actively!
Over the last few days I have had a running conversation with a friend of mine about being passionate. We have been discussing that being passionate is more than just being excited about something, but that being passionate is actually active, it is doing, it is being a part of something and taking an active role. It is the exact opposite of being passive.
Jesus in His call of discipleship is calling for passion - action, being, doing. He is calling for more than excitement, He is calling for us to be a part of something that He has planned and wants our active participation.
The other thing about passionate people, is they are anything but boring. Kind of sounds like Jesus!
