WOW!

We have spent the last few weeks studying the miracles of Jesus. We started with the miracle at Cana and turning the water into wine, then focused on the feeding of the 4,000 and this week will look at Jesus walking on the water.

As we have studied these I cannot help but think that the disciples had to continually be blown away by what they were experiencing. I am not just talking about the miracle itself, but the significance of each miracle and the multiple messages that Jesus was sending with each and every one. The disciples must have been floored. I can almost picture these young guys, wide-eyed and speechless and asking themselves just what were they into? Who was this Rabbi that they had chosen to follow and were they really living this life?

The real question in all of this study though that has occurred to me over and over as I have studied is does Jesus have the same affect on me? Am I continually floored by Him, by being chosen to be a partaker in His Kingdom, to be used by Him. Am I blown away by His truth and His love?

It is easy to study, read and walk away with a better understanding of Him, but I believe Jesus is calling us to so much more just like He did His disciples. I pray that none of us grow content with a "just" attitude, but that as we continue to uncover who Jesus is that He rocks our world and that we come to be awed by Him.
